not been at this again for long and when a Kid only used to fish with the one fly.... however now I have leaders with tippets and three flies but all I end up with is eventually a mess yet go back to the single fly fish and less mess give us a clue where I'm going wrong please...

Could be one of many things, not using wide loops, a bushy fly that spins on casting, not using correct tapers/mono, action of the rod.. yadda yadda..

Consider a casting lesson, let the instructor point out what you are doing right or wrong, lessons are not as dear as some people think, around £20 an hour, (you may need to book a minimum of 2hrs), might seem expensive to some, but think of the hassle free days fishing, once you develop your casting skills.
