April and May have been low on rain and everthing is beginning to suffer a little. However, last year was the worst drought for many years so how can they predict 2011 is going to be worse. We might get the wettest summer in 100 years and then everyone will be seriously flooded.

Nature will eventually right itself unless global warming messes everything up.:

The drought seems to be limited to the Southern part of England. I live in Lancashire and also spend a lot of time in Scotland, over the last month there has been no shortage of rain in these areas, the weather being mainly wet and very windy.

The last couple of weeks in April were dry but since then normal service has been resumed

I've just got back from a session at my club water in East Lancs and both reservoirs were close to capacity.

Last summer Lancashire water from our fishery was being sold and pumped down south. Our fishery dropped twenty feet and it took months to recover. Don't be too eager to offer are precious water supply.

My trout syndicate water is on a 7 acre farm reservoir.

The fishing platforms are now high and dry, and it's now a case of scrabbling around in the reeds as the water level recedes

The last major reservoir project finished at Roadford in 1991.

There has been an approximate 6% increase in the population of the UK since . Mainly in the South East where it hasn't rained much - and that could be serious .

Successive Governments were warned about what happens next .

Nothing got done - so here we go again .

Pray for rain .

Best wishes

Considering your location Leonroskilly, I wouldn't have thought this was a problem unless it needs renaming?
