Default instructor in the lothians

Hi all,

A north american friend who has recently moved to Scotland, and has no proir FF experience, is very keen to get a day's lesson and guiding somewhere 'nice' in the Lothains/Borders.

Does anyone have advice on people and/or venues to approach?

All recommendations very much appreciated.

Earlier on this year I had a casting lesson from this chap, who also does fishing lessons:

Line Slinger Home Page - fly fishing and fly casting instruction in Edinburgh, the Lothians,

I learned a whole lot from him. He's very personable and I'm sure would be great company on a day's fishing.

You could also try Ken Muter. Based in Alnwick in Northumberland so is only 30 minutes from the Borders.

Very good instructor and a great guy
