Default How much do you spend a year?

Just wondering how much everyone spends every year on our hobby?

I said at the start of this year that I didn't need anything but have ended up buying a few bits and bobs(a lot of bits ) and bought 22 tickets for £520 this year so far. I always say I don't need anyhing this year but always end up with a new rod or reel or both. Just intrested what we all end up spending every year. Next year I will have as much rods, reels, lines etc as I need so it might be a bit cheaper but i doubt it

I think you've mistaken need for want, once you realise the difference the guilt will leave you

hello are you fishing the same place 22 tickets @ £520 can you not get a season ticket? i have to fish on quite a tight budget most being petrol and season tickets for 2 clubs ( river) am lucky too as my 2 fishy friends will also take me. but then if i could not get out and fish and enjoy even if not catch life would not be the same.

Firstly it sounds like you need to join a club to reduce the cost of fishing water.
My club charges £150 for the year I spend £150 on alternative venues. I spend £20 month on fly tying materials and fishing consumables. I buy three new lines a year £135. I buy a new rod every two years £250.Fishing clothes £150pa and miscellaneous £100 pa. I tie my own flies so this helps to keep my costs down.
I make the total for a year about £1,050.

BK

PS No travelling expenses are included.

Looks like they are reluctant to say. Not me, oh no...I spend 15.00 per year. Sounds a lot I know but I NEED things. Ask my Mrs she will tell you the same-15.00 .

Chris.

Sorry, my tickets have cost me £227 this year so far and the rest of the £520 has been spent on bits

My local stillwater is £90 for ten tickets and I have got two, Used ten in may. What a cracking month for the hopper and emerger. Also had a couple of shots on other waters and will be having a lot more in the summer.

Honestly I do not want to know... Considering my fishing trips are 5 to 8 hours away by auto and my OCD issues....
I don't want to know.
