Ok it was time to get myself a new rod so I went online and got myself a sage vantage from fishtec a wk l8r fish tec rang me and said it will take 4-5wks till u get the rod as thay got to get it from America. So I was not happy it cost £200. So I rang them bk and thay was happy to send me the new sage flight for the same price! When I did receive it had no film on cork witch got me thinking it mite b a demo rod? What do you think do I complain?

hello they should not have taken your money if they did not have that rod in stock, as the other forum member said if you are happy with the sage and keeping, it may have been a demo. just make sure it has the full warranty and happy fishing, ps i would not buy from fishtec if that is their way of dealing with customers!!

Gonna tell me when sage started to put polythene film on the butts of their rods?

None of the The Sage rods Iv seen in Stockport fly shop have film over the cork, dont worry about it

I've never had a sage with film on the handle, don't think they do it.

Ive only the one sage rod but that never came with a film wrap on the handle.Nor have all the ones ive ever seen in tackle shops
