Default Fly fishing retailers with varied stock..??

Hi guys.

I live in the south east and am looking to upgrade to a newer 5/6 outfit. Honestly, i'm finding it a bit frustrating! All the local fishing shops seem to have hardly any choice when it comes to fly gear, perhaps 3 or 4 brands and thats it. Quite often a very expensive brand and a very cheap one. I know that on the net, the choices are endless, but sometimes its nice to see it for real, or touch it....and decide from there..

Anyone know of any larger retailers with a lot more choice..?? Like they have up north..? I live about 45 mins south of london, but have to make a trip up next week to renew a visa for my little boy. Can use that opportunity to go shopping..!!

cheers
D

Most shops stock a premium, medium and value brand purely based on the cost of carryingt he stock. There will also be limits imposed by manufacturers on the number of stockists in an area.

If coming to London you have Farlowes, Grangers and the unique O'reillys in York Street.

All are centrally based and in a couple of hours you'll be able to visit them all and select from a wide variety of tackle to make you selection.

All good shops suggested.
Have a look at Pete Cockwills shop in Albury as well.

I think the best way to shop to get a varied selection is to do it online. Either through ebay or other tackle shops.
