Question Wild Brownies

Hey!

Well now i've got complete time off until september I think I aim to catch a wild brownie... I live in Birmingham and aint to sure of any rivers around where I live or even how I would go about catching one...

A big question to ask I know but all/any advice would be well taken on board.

Cheers guys!

Hi PP. I also live in Brum, and as has been mentioned before on here, wbt fishing opportunities are few and far between in the West Mids.

But there's a feeling I get when I look to the West....

Have a look at the Wye and Usk Foundation site. Plenty of wild brownie and grayling fishing, starting not much more than an hour or so's drive in a Westerly direction.

Hope this helps, regards, Castaline.

Come to Derbyshire, fish the Haddon Estate's length of the Derbyshire Wye. The brown trout are wild as are the rainbow trout. Take a look at the Derbyshire thread and the Peacock Fly Fishing Club thread for an insight.

Have a chat with Tigermoth or Cranefly on River Monnow section. They are both very helpful but prone to force feeding visitors with pork pies
