Default The essential fly

I have to let everyone know the outstanding customer service and what I think about some of the flies I have bought from this site.

My first order was one blank buster CDC missing, I got in touch and they not only sent the missing fly but included every CDC that I had ordered, another 4 flies.

I have used these flies three times since I got them. First time up at craigluscar, I put on one of these flies and falsed cast out to put a wee bit of line out. A fish grabed straight away and I missed it cause I was not expecting it. Got another fish on it that day and that was good because of the wind. I was at stenhouse on Wens and had a couple of cast from the bank with the same CDC while my mate was drinking coffee and second cast got a fish. I put on one at the end of the day and got a fish on the last cast from the boat.
Up at luscar today and using the crunchers and got tugs all morning and two fish.

Last night I went on too the site to order some more flies and I had to spend £20 to get free delivery. I put an order in for £20 and it didn't give me the option for free delivery. Sent a E-mail to them and they said sorry it was their fault and credited me with £5 so I could get a fiver worth of free flies and then get free delivery.

The best customer service I have every had from a fly order company. Please look at this site for your flies and if I was you I would get some of the sandy blank busters.

Cheers

I'd agree. Also very quick to deliver. Usually next working day. More often than not tie my own, but the ones I've ordered have been excellent.

Don't use them much these days as I now tie my own flies. But have to agree about the customer service, it is second to none.
About all I buy from them these days are their own brand tapered leaders, they are superb. Don't be conned into buying more expensive "big brand name" leaders. The essential fly's are by far the best.

that was a question of mine, where to buy decent flies. I have used sportfish but after waiting 3 weeks for them to send me my 'to be followed' I may look elsewhere.

The only problem, I do like FM flies

I bought some foam backed daddies and beetles from this site and they look really good, however, they sink!
This was the first time i had gone for foam and thought i may be doing something wrong, do they need treating? I sent an email to the company asking for advise but never got a reply. If someone from the company is on this site, i would appreciate some advice.

Foam daddies shouldn't sink - you might want to treat them with gink
