Default Line trays.....

I'm looking into buying/making my own line tray as I'm fed up of my precious line getting muddy at my feet or having a great cast cut short due to the line stopping short because it's tangled at my feet.

Do you guys use line trays? I can't remember ever seeing a fellow angler using one (90% of the time I fish small still waters - from the bank)

Does anybody have any tips on making a very light weight one or recommend a good one to buy? I'd prefer to make my own to save a few pounds as we all know fishing tackle isn't cheap!

Thanks in advance : )

I use them when bank fishing on a ressie.Nothing fancy a washing up bowl with some silicone tube ends glued in the bottom to stop the line tangling,a few holes to let the water out and a couple of slits in one side to fit a belt through

Cheers guys!
I'm going to go with making one. I'm too tight to fork out money when I could do it myself, I just font fancy a bulky washing up bowl. I'm thinking something made of fabric but finding the material will be a ****** so the washing up bowl is an option. That's kinda what I had in mind anyway. Thanks Neil.

There's a very good reason for that.
