This was were I started fly fishing a couple of years ago and have always found it hard but I have started to visit there again and things have been looking up for me in recent months.
The new owners Martin & Alex have been in for a month or two now. I have spoke to them once or twice and they are very amiable and welcoming and seem keen to improve the fishery - this is their first fishery. New fish (rainbows & browns) have been stocked recently and more are planned. It sounds like this year will be a settling in period and then start to look at how to develop the site after that.
Fished there last night but sadly had no joy getting any takers, I don't feel the high winds have been of any help recently and the rising fish were a bit too far from the bank for me, but on my previous visit in April I had some great sport on nymphs & buzzers.
Apparently it used to be a busy little fishery in the past but things seemed to have gone down hill recently but it would be great if they could make a go of it.
Earith Lakes needs support and people fishing there, I wish them both the best of luck and hope things work out for them

Out of curiosity... the fishery has it's own small stock pond away from the main lake, how do fish that have been raised on trout pellets respond to natural food once they have been released into a lake? Do they take time to adjust to the different feeding or might they be wary of natural/imitation flies if there is not much competition from other fish?
