Default Winter Flies

As sad as it is, I've already started tying up flies for the winter months.

Wondering if any one has seen/experimented with patterns like this?

Thanks

Default Re: Winter Flies

I tied some very similar ones a couple of years ago using ordinary chenille, black/olive green speckled, with bead heads and olive hackle at the front end. Despite having singed the end of the tail, all the flue came off after just a few casts!

Maybe that Fritzy stuff will be more resilient. That olive one is well worth a try, especially when the damsels are coming off!
