Hi Guys

Does anyone know if there is an official record weight for a fly caught barbel ?

Someone on the Royalty Fishery has caught one weighing 17lb 8oz!

That must have been some fish,was it on trout or salmon gear?

as far as i know ,they were fishing for salmon at the time ,unless its a different fish that i know of ???????

As far as i can see it was on trout gear or at least a single handed rod!
