Should get plenty of tips on Sunday it's the vision pairs match. My advice would be to enjoy your day but get to the weigh in and listen to the stories of where people have caught fish, this will give you an insight for the coming week.

I'm down there next week with a bunch of lads from the Edinburgh Post Office Angling club. If you hear a bunch of guys talking in your native tongue give us a shout.

If you are down for the week, come along to the Tuesday night boat league. You can get details from the lodge. We go out at 6 and get back at about 9.30 for fish and chips and a can of beer.

PM me if you want more details.

Stewart,

Some info for you about Rutland;

Fished on Wednesday afternoon in horrendous conditions. Very windy and because I struggle to cast in the wind we tried to find shelter in some of the bays in the north arm. Fish were being caught near the dam wall on Cats Whiskers but I ended with a big blank.

Thursday was a better day, great conditions, bright but with clouds and a breeze which decreased through the day.
Left the harbour, powered directly out northwards into the middle and drifted back towards the north side of the harbour. Picked up my first fish on the first drift, deep on a fast sink line with a small straggle cat on the point.
My next set of drifts were into the two bays either side of Normanton Church but the one to the North was better. I stayed there all day. Got another one on the same straggle cat, lost 2 at the net then got two more on an Alexandria that I'd put on a dropper. Finished with 4 for 8lb 8. Great day, most of the group I was with got a lot less. My boat partner got 1 on an orange blob on a sinking line and others caught on black buzzers and diawl bachs.

Hope this helps, tight lines!

Nick.

Water clarity has improved dramatically over the last few days, so prospects are looking better (from a bank perspective). Fish have had small (size 12-14) green buzzer in them that I've had recently.
