Default wychwood truefly jacket

Hi, I'm very interesting in this Jacket. I have seen it and likes good, but it's my birthday and I can pay more for a great jacket. I would want to know if any one have it,

And if is completly waterproof and breathable, or is bad...or any opinion about any other jacket.

I'm very please to recieve any help.

Regards from Spain!

Iv tried quite a few "fishing" jackets over the years and usually get let down after a while because they tend to eventually leak, Im now on my second year with a Tog24 jacket and Helly Hansen pants have fished in some deluges and have nothing but praise for these products, theres some great bargains about too if you look around, just my two bobs worth

There's no such thing as 'completly waterproof and breathable' but the Simms G4 comes close............ at a cost...........

The Wychwood isn't a bad jacket for the money.
Cuffs are excellent - way better than others I've seen (except Sierra) and that includes Simms imho. No annoying velcro tab on the outside to trap line.

Cuffs as said before are excellent, fits me well with good arm mobility and shoulders, is waterproof in the weather I have tried it in (not sat in a boat but standing on the bank both down south and in scotland). All teh seams are tape sealed. Pockets are OK, zingers are OK but occasionally escape into the body of the jacket and need fiddling with to extract back into position. Hood has good mobility but I think not quite enough volume or shape for me to keep the stiffened brim/visor in position - would be fine with a baseball cap underneath. It is breathable enough for walking in. If I was hillwalking to a lake or loch I would probably go with a gore-tex or event shell to avoid condensation but its not needed for fishing.

For the money I think it is excellent, especially given the huge cost of premium brands.

This jacket is not waterproof. The zip toggle will break off through extended use (1 season). It's the worst jacket I've ever worn.

If you want a cheap jacket that will keep you both warm and dry then the Daiwa Wilderness jacket is available for around £55. I really didn't expect much from it but it keeps the wind out and the rain runs straight off it.

I have a Musto high performance jacket for the Winter and a Barbour Dryfly jacket for the Summer. Both were expensive but well worth the money for comfort and performance.
