Welcome to the forum and the fly fishing Can't help with your area, but I'm sure someone will be along soon with some advice.

Farmoor Reservoir near Oxford. Try F1 for c&r. 15 fish limit for £25, and you can keep one if you wish. Long leader, weighted point fly and buzzers, diawl bachs etc. Best fun you can have with your clothes on and a whole lot better than some you can have with them off!

Hi Rustyghia

I am also in North Herts. Elinor (about 45 miles) is my most regular place in the summer.

Hi Dean

I was there today, on a boat and it was the first calm day I've had there this year. Plenty of fish around, best pattern for me was a hopper fished on the surface. There were also plenty of damsels and some did well on damsel nymph. Also still some buzzers hatching. An orange blob or a cats whisker might also work if nothing else does.

Generally the fish there are in the top couple of feet at this time of year but the staff are really helpful and I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction. Most of the other people fishing there are also pretty helpful.

Best of luck

Dave
