There be others on here to tell you not to use them.Ive not heard of them cracking the line ( i presume you mean just above the sleeve? ) after just one outing so this may well be a casting fault, but Im not sure on that.If you want to continue using them buy some decent ones like Roman Moser Minicons and do away with the sleeve and whip them on ( where the sleeve would go ) and after you have done that put a coat of a rubber based glue over the whipping

Neil

Putting superglue above and below the sleeve is advised, but this is what i believe induces cracking of the line

You may to have a problem with your casting,Or you may be covering your join between flyline/braid with too much superglue and making it hard.

They're all I've ever used ( Moser's and the cheaper varieties) and have never had any cracking. Haven't used glues to fix, only the sleeve, and have never had one come off

It'll work as the joint remains flexible, the superglue and sleeve makes the line/joint/sleeve stiff hence the cracking. If you feel your castings bad get some lessons in as this may of well been adding to your problem

normally i find putting too much superglue near the sleeve causes the line to crack
