There isn't a good trout net on the market at the moment, so get yourself a decent coarse fishing net with a nice pan head and flat bottom for easy and safe C&R. The same net will do for fish you intend to keep.

I have used my Brady Aerial Trout bag every season since 1968. The rubberised fish keeping bag, which buttons inside, died thirty years ago, but the rest of the bag is still going strong, although it no longer looks very smart. Brady still make them.

You can pick up a decent landing net from ebay. A pan net with a long handle. You'll get it for around £18.

I use a shakespere plastic carrycase similar to those used for sea fishing ,It is completely waterproof and i can sit on it when i have a cup of tea
