Default Woodington

Hi Guys.
I am going on holiday to fordingbridge at the end of may and am thinking of fishing at woodington fishery as seems to be the only place that allows catch and release.
Any opinions/recent reports/tactics on this fishery?
Also I will probably be there on the 25 May if anyone fancies a do.

Thanks in advance
Andy

Having only fished it once,i am probably not best to judge it,however i found it a pleasant enough place.
Fished it in mid December a few years back and did ok.Think its been stocked with Char recently.Three c/r pools and one catch and kill with better fish stocked.
Owner is helpful and very pleasant, refreshments available and some tackle.
If it were nearer to me i would fish it,alas its a fair way away

As Chub1 says - nice, but small place. A good review here should give you the heads up Complete Fisher Forum :: View topic - Woodington Trout Fishery

I've fished there twice - but both in cooler times I think, and in my firsr yr or two of flyfishing. It has some shelter from trees in countryside but little cover actually waterside - As all side of the lakes are accessible it should be fine short of a real hoolie or downpour. Hope you have a good day out.
