Hi Jason
Not been here long myself, or at the fly fishing either.
I asked a similar question and was given was given this link by Tafftastic

I called Andrew there (on Tafftastic's advice), told him I was new, he spent a long time talking me through ideas and the types of flies and techniques I could use. I asked whether he could put together an `essential kit' of flies -the type of thing that he would felt I should have for what I was doing.
The flies were made to order and dispatched within the week (just after all the bank holidays). Excellent quality, and he did them at a reduced rate -52 flies I think for £20. I can't recommend Andrew highly enough.

Hope this helps

Oh, and welcome -there's loads of people here who will offer advice, help and support.

Baz
