I've broken them in the past and they were always repaired free of charge..... or I've recieved a replacement rod !
my arguement is that i don't want a 3 piece rod (not that they've even offered me one without a charge)...there are many 3 piece rods out there that are equally as good as a Loomis at a fraction of the price
The last time i had to fight with both Rutland Tackle Shop where I purchased the rod for £600 and Shimano (the importer and distributor) and 4 months later it was repaired.....
i remember the old ads in catalogues detailed a "lifetime" or "unconditional warrenty".......well If i get a copy i'd even pursue this through the small claims court because:-
Consumers have rights one piece of legislation that is particularly relevant is; The Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002 this clearly states that “any statements made by manufacturers, importers or producers regarding the specific characteristics of the goods (particularly in advertising or labelling have to be factually correct) – and form part of the RETAILERS contract with the consumer; so allowing redress from the retailer”
Anyway...someone please have an old mag or catalogue from around 2003 - 2009 so I can gather enough evidence.......
As regards Shimano's aftersales.......welll thats a seperate issue
