8lb brownie from Kilnsey - I'd just started fly fishing and it was my first outing where I hadn't blanked so to catch one that big was a bonus! Needless to say all the fish since have been somewhat smaller

Hi my biggest rainbow was last year at Glencourse reseviour when i caught a 10lb 4oz rainbow on a damsel. i was also lucky enough to get another big fish the year before at beecraigs that was 9lb 1oz that earned me a troutmasters badge.

Hi lads, I caught my first double figured trout on Saturday the 2nd April this year at the Haylie Fishery near Largs, it weighed 23lbs, it was a belter of a fish, checked and released, swam away a treat, caught on a barbless nymph.

Biggest trout anywhere - 14lb, from Avington.
Biggest reservoir trout - 6lb 10oz, Sutton Bingham
Biggest river trout on fly - 3lb 12oz, a wild brown from the River Piddle.

All in the last 9 years and all memorable.

I've had two double figure trout (both under 11lb though!) but neither of these would be my most memorable trout. Size certainly is certainly not the be all and end all with trout!
