Re: Orvis Tls pPower matrix....any experience??
It is a big rod, but a nice and smooth rod. I used to work in an orvis shop, so I've cast most of the range from the T3 backwards in time.
It is a 10' 7 wt, so anywhere you'd consider a 10-7 it will be a decent rod. Personally, a 7 wt is too much rod for the trout fishing I'm doing unless it is windy. However, I see a lot of guys on here use bit 7/8 wt rods in 10' for lochs and big lakes, so horses for courses.
It would make a great seatrout rod. Quite a few guys used them for steelhead and light salmon back in the US, so for that purpose they are really good. It is also a fair rod for beach casting if you want the extra length.
Couldn't help on price. I think they were $350-400 or so when we were selling them a few years back. For £100 I'd probably snap it up. For £250 I'd be looking to see what else on the market you can get at that price.
Thanks,
Rick
