Default coiling line

bought a shooting head line to see what they were like, like the way it feeling and the loading. The only thing is that the line coils and is hard to keep a straight line in the water. Is this because it is new? and what can i do to stop this?

Give it a gentle stretch, and if that dosn't work.bin it and get another make or make your own from a DT line.

hello do you mean the actual shooting head or the running line?? depends what material is the line made of ??. . i dont use now but did not like shop ones i used an old w/f line cut off front belly and knotted a proper shooting head to this, float or sink, say 8 shooting head to say 6 w/f running line. i used at farmoor 1. look out for guides new shooting head lines with new design running line, i looked at them at a show yesterday. if you put make of line you purchased many would know on here and help you. good luck

hi it was an airflo 40 plus extreme, only cost £14 so thought i would give it a bash. I will give it a stretch out and see if that works. Not sure if the extra distance is worth it though as i feel i dont have as much control of the line but it does feel really good when loading. If i can straighten it i think it will be a bargain at that price

This is not a shooting head in the true sense.and if it's a floater .tie up your washing with it.

If its 2010 model some swimming lessons may come in handy once its been stretched ( just in case the head parts company with the running line )
