Default Slow server again ?

Anyone else finding this site unbearably slow again ?
It seemed to have improved a while ago when I believe they got a new server but it's taking ages to load pages again.
Other sites on my netbook are fine so it's not my connection.

Yes. I'm finding the forum has been slower over the past few days, thought it was just my computer.

Like I said, other sites load fine (I have "Intel inside" too).
Just this forum that's really slow to navigate.

it's the slowest site i use - sometimes so frustrating i lose interest....and no it's not my computer. Only bother because it's comprehrensive, some interesting items and i've been fortunate enough to speak to some really knowledgable/helpful members - you know who you are - be nice if the site was improved tho....

As a new member I've frequently noticed the slow loading speed on this site, is it perhaps the plethora of adverts which slow everything up? I've nothing against advertising on forums, the bills have to paid somehow, except when they slow things up to such a degree that you lose patience with the site itself.

I would advise anybody that uses firefox to install adblock. The forum is so much faster without the numerous adverts.
