TBH Andy, my initial response on reading your thread was to post something along the lines of Mr T's 'Get some nuts' advice, but after some reflection you have my sympathy, Sir.

A few former teenage motorcycling mates of mine, having done the marriage/mortgage/kids thing would love to return to two wheels, but having been threatened with divorce or worse, have resisted.

Fortunately Mrs C is an understanding woman who knows how much biking means to me, and tries to puts her worries about the inherent risk in riding motorcycles to the back of her mind. And to put her mind at rest, I tell her that I never ride at more than 70mph...

Bless ya mate, you won't half miss the bike, ( especially now the summer's coming ), but if 'er indoors really is that worried, then you've done the right thing. Back in my teenage years my mom would literally have sleepless nights while I was out on my bike, expecting the worst. And the fact that I would often turn up back home with bloodied knees and elbows, having fallen off again, obviously didn't help...

To return to the original subject of your post, I've just bought a pair of Bison breathable stockingfoot chesties for about £100; they seem to be a nice bit of kit, and the reviews on here are very positive.

Best regards, Castaline.

BTW, what bike is it?

Andy get yourself a set of Orvis Endura breathables, £129 or less, they will leak, as all breathables do eventually, but when they do Orvis will replace, no questions asked.
Someone on here put a set of brand new Orvis waders up today, carpman, I think, never worn £100 delivered, great value, check them out, and they were bootfoots, even better.

To hell with selling, I'm buying Latest addition to the stable below. It's a 50th Anniversary Bonneville produced in a limited edition by Triumph to mark the issue of the original Bonnie in 1959. I owned one of them in the late '60s, same colour and all but the new one doesn't do 'territory marking' on the garage floor.

I just had to have this 'un so the new Simms/Sage/Abel will have to wait for another season

Just about to point out to Revo that they are quite clearly Mikuni 34mm flat-slide carburettors, but checked the spec list for the Bonny just in case...

A FI injection system that looks like carbs... bloody clever...
