Default question

hi folks,
just wondering if someone could answer a question for me. what are these for "Riverge Seamless Leader Rings"? whenever i tie on droppers my tippet becomes tangled everytime and my flies catch around the fluorocarbon. Are these leader rings used for tying on more than one fly? also when im at fisherys i find myself changing fly regularly, do the wee metal clips affect fly presentation?

I use tippet rings all the time ( Roman Moser ones ) and don't suffer from tangles, yes there meant for only one fly/dropper.Try running a tiny amount of super glue up the dropper/tippet for about a cm from the knot, this will help it stand out from the main leader.Never used snap links but heard they can open up and loose your fly

Hiya bud. I use them with poly leaders, snip the pre-tied loop off and attach a ring. Then tie your tippet length to the ring; it saves you butchering the loop every time you change your tippet.

I've never used them to tie droppers to, but i use them all the time to attach various lengths of tippet to a tapered leader. The tippet will usually, but not always have one or two droppers.
Try a 9' tapered leader cut back to 7' with a tippet ring attached, then add a 7' tippet, with or without droppers. That's just a basic set up, but you can extend it by using any length of tapered leader with a suitable tippet length added to the ring.
Tip: Don't pay "fly fishing" prices, use "rig rings" as used by carp anglers.......half the price at least!
