Pink maggots are not pinkies. Usually just red maggots. Pinkies are maggots of the green bottle which are smaller than the standard maggots from the bluebottle. Pinkies are great escapologists.
Never heard of a Pinky in fly fishing. Plenty of pink coloured patterns.
