Default Life saving equipment is it required?

We have recently obtained the shooting and fishing rights over a small pond within the Peak District. The question is this, are we required to provide life saving equipment or is it the land owners responsibility? Who in the unfortunate event of an accident would be liable?
Many thanks in advance.

Responsibility is with the person paying to use the rights, you the tenant.

BASC provide insurance cover for our shoot & they can help with advice regarding risk assessment.

Angling Trust can offer club insurances for fisheries etc, one or both of these should point you in the right direction.

Insurance is a must, as whoever has his or her name on the lease will I think you will find be liable.
