Default Casting lesson.

Had a casting lesson with David Henderson today, despite blustery winds making things difficult I was shown a few techniques to help get the fly out on the water & turning over as it should.

Definately recommend an afternoon with David if you're in the West/North Yorkshire areas & want to brush up on your casting.

With great patience shown from David & a few pointers I now know what NOT to do, which should make my fishing a whole lot more enjoyable.

Happy days

Concluded my lessons with David today, worked on the overhead cast & despite another day of gales, gales & more gales I was shown the correct way to cast out over the head, all I can say is that for those of you who've never had a lesson then go & get some booked.

I've heard & read all about the loading of the rod but until today I'd never fully understood nor knowingly experienced the feeling of the loading, thanks to David I not only know how to load the rod but also how to get the line out.

Despite a nightmare of a wind blowing all I finally managed to put it all together, now I'll at last be able to take my fishing to that next level & get my line out beyond the margins.

So may I take this opportunity to again thank David Henderson for giving me his time & knowledge over the last couple of weeks, and if there's anyone requiring lessons in the West/North Yorkshire & East Lancs regions then give David a call, if he can get through to a blonde Irishman then the rest of you will have no problems.

Cheers

Simon
