We decided to do the decent thing and I now have a fine piece of fish, topped and tailed which me nor "Er Indoors don't have a scooby how to cook, any suggestions,...easy please,...she's blonde.

And you??
Simple recipe.
garnish with lemon juice and parsley, rub in some butter, inside and topside
wrap in tin foil.
cook in oven @ 210 for 45 minutes.
take out.
skin will come off on foil.
split in halve with pie knife, leaving bones in foil.
serve with small potatoes in skins, peas, carrots etc, etc
enjoy.
regards
bert

Bin it! Most taste like potato peelings, unless you can mask the taste.

Clean it, hot frying pan, **** of butter, sprinkle of almonds, 3 mins each side.
Slice of lemon on top after cooking, squeezed over it.
Glass of chilled white wine, delicious.

Can't argue with that Bert.
The odd rainbow I take, mrs t strips all the flesh off, then makes trout en crout'e, with fennel, it's actually quite nice, once a year.
