Am going to this, was wondering if anyone here has been before and what sort of deals Sportfish might be doing on tackle on the day(s).

I've been to a couple over the past few years. If you are looking to buy a new rod, it is a good opportunity to try out a range of rods before shelling out your hard earned money. Similarly, if you want to talk to the manufacturers about reels, lines, flies etc, it is an opportunity to get some good advice. It is not as crowded as the Game Fair or the BFFI show. I'm not aware of Sportfish offering any special deals on the day - at least there was nothing mentioned in the flyer they sent me the other day.

they were doing 10% off all purchases last year but that is par for the course anytime of the year. i am local so go every year and it is a great day out. the bargain of the show is subscribing to trout and salmon, 35 quid and you get a 20 quid sportfish voucher. everyone spend 20 quid on sh1t at the show so you get your magazine for 15 quid for the year. now that is a bargain. see you there, jon.
