I must record my appreciation of the EA, or at least two of its employees.

I foolishly lost my rod licence and because I was going on a trip at the weekend which would probably require me to produce it to get a permit I phoned up the EA. It seemed replacement wasn't easy as I had bought the license using from AW at Rutland Water who use the old system of paper licenses and counterfoil books so the EA didn't have details of my license yet. The guy I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful. He tracked down the counterfoil to their data entry point in Warrington,and an equally helpful lady there issued a replacement licence and emailed me confirmation of the new licence serial number and posted the new licence first class.

Nice one Mike ,there's not enough folk praise the EA ,but they're always quick to put them down ,they do good work behind the scenes of every day life that most of us don't get to see ,and as usually crops up every year because "they" don't see them checking licences they think they do nothing for there licence money ,which couldn't be further from the truth
