Default What weight do you think he is??

Hi All,
I caught this lad a few days back and estimated him about 5.5-6lb after the quick pic on the phone he was released again and nothing more thought of it untill the last day I was out fishing when I happened to look at the top of the box. It was then that his length struck me as bloody long. Again the length is estimated at 63-64cm
Was I under selling him??

A lot of it will depend on the girth of the fish as this is where they will really pack on the weight.

I believe one formula is:
(girth in inches x girth in inches) x length in inches) ÷ 800 = weight (in pounds )

Now that is a fish!
absolute cracker.
well done.
salmon/grilse of that length would weigh 6lbs on the nose!
as fish looks a bit leaner, think you are spot on between 5.5 and 6 lbs

I think it is a six weight RPL +... but it is hard to tell because the fish is a bit distracting..
