I think a lot depends on how you are fishing the Booby. Jim's right in saying that different sized, uneven "eyes" will cause spin but IMO you will undoubtedly get a bit of spin if you are
stripping the fly. A FO8 or static retrieve would minimise line twist.
I've often toyed with the idea of incorporating a very small bb swivel between the leader butt and tippet but never actually tried it. Certainly works with Ultralight lures when Perching!
