On a size 10 olive gold head damsel useing a 9wt airflo forty plus shooting head, had 3 small bows using it then as i was casting a very long line the fly cracked me in the back of my headand inbedding . ..... lovely. Anyway after alot of swear words from me my dad used the new line to realease me lol ****ing hurt people more the impact than anything. i blame the wind hahaha
finished up with about 16 on buzzers and lost loads!

Had the same problem myself a couple of times both fly and coarse fishing all I can add is barbless come out a lot easier.

know how you feel viper after sitting in casualty with a size 4 embedded in my big toe much to the amusement of everbody of who came in finally called in where a hypo of majic juice was stuck in my toe and 30 seconds later pulled out with forceps. the only time ive been that numb was after 8 pints of guiness falling through the front door and cracking my head,never felt a thing. cheers sking
