Missed takes

I was dry fly fishing this afternoon on my local river, the Whiteadder when suddenly the river just erupted with fish rising to fly all over the place. I had one take after another and missed them all! Changed to a size 16 and continued to miss every single one! By the laws of probability I would have thought one of those trout would have managed to hook themselves but no. I tried everything I could think of but I just could not catch a single fish. None of them were big but boy were they quick.

I would have tried changing to a Klink which will sit a bit lower, but it may still have proved just as frustrating!

I started off with a klink....one of yours I think

Still, I enjoyed myself and it's all good practice and experience.
