Hi Kim,
I saw my 1st Mayfly on the Nidd a week last Saturday. It was only one amongst an hatch of olives. I had to look again, but it was definatly a Mayfly.

All the hatches I have come across have been well before usual and the rivers around south and mid Wales are on their bones as low as I’ve ever seen them this time of year

I seen one the other day at the girlfriends parents house on Tuesday and thought it was a bit early too... maybe rename them to late April/Early Mayfly

All the rivers up here in Yorkshire are down to their bones also. However they seem to be fishing well, some better than others. Lots of olives coming off etc.
