Over the past few weeks, I've fished a couple of still waters early mornings and have seen the odd bit of surface movement, certainly not like what I remember it was years ago; perhaps the modern fish is like the modern teenager who doesn't get out of bed till afternoon!

still a bit early season for serious morning rise, but through second half of may and all of june will be tremendous early morning rise, from dawn till about 3 hours after, is when a collosal amount of insect life appears.
