I'm still deciding on where to head this bank holiday and the next one too. Didn't manage to get the time off for the whole week by booking the three days mid week as that all got taken by other people at my work. I'm thinking of going to Wales one BH though and either somewhere in Yorkshire or Lakes the next.
Does anyone know how the Conwy is fishing at the moment and if its worth trying there? I guess a lot of rivers will be suffering because of the hot weather the last two months and lack of rainfall? I think we're due for a downpour sooner or later. I imagine we will have it hot for the next two weeks or so and then we'll see heavy rain or gale force winds or something completely different.
Some of the ideas in my head at the moment are to head to Wales because I have unfinished business with Tryfan anyway, and I also plan to get some fishing done in that general vacinity at the same time.
I also quite fancy fishing Tal-Y-Llyn and also some of the rivers around there too though I might do that at a later date, and it would also give me a chance to go up Cader Idris.
Other places on my mind are still waters and rivers in Yorkshire. Ladybower, Malham, Wykeham, Nidd, Ure, Swale, Yorkshire Esk. Also Ribble and Hodder over in Lancs.
And in the Lakes I guess I wouldn't mind trying one of the bigger free fishing stillwaters in the Eastern Lakes. Maybe also try the Derwent or Eden. There's also a river I have never yet fished which I have been dying to fish for a long time and that's the Greta near Keswick. I don't even know if it has many fish in it but the surrounding scenery is stunning and plenty of pubs in Keswick for later on

Has to be worth it.
Where y'all heading these bank holls? Anyone planning any trips further afield to more exotic locations?
