Default Any info on fishing Loch Leven?

I've bitten the bullet and booked a day session on the loch next Saturday, with my Son.
Having never fished there in probably 15 years or more, can anyone point me in the right direction with regards to what flies/depths etc. and where to fish?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Gary

Hi, I'm up there this Saturday so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. So far I've got the Loch Fishers Bible to go off. I'm going to be tying furiously over the next few days so anything would be something. I feel a little blind at the moment.

Cheers,

Jay.

I commented on your thread last night and as stated, I'm really not much help. I live only a few miles from the loch but it is such a daunting looking water to fish, I've been avoiding it!
Perhaps a few replies will be forthcoming to help us loch Newbies out

Best of luck on Saturday, keep us posted.

Gary

Just finished reading that Ferral and have also been watching current Leven threads, hopefully a few of the regulars will give their tips.

Sorry Garryj, but the chance of getting any info from the Leven regulars, is just about nil, it has always been the same on this water. They have always wanted to keep the fish holding areas secret, when the comp. heats come up they don't want any outsiders managing to beat them, pity, as most of them are brilliant anglers no matter where they fish. Before you set off ask Wullie Wilson who looks after the boats, he will hopefully put you over a fish or two, best of luck and let us know how you get on.
Billy.

Thanks for the info Billy, I didn't think about that to be honest. Perhaps I'll stalk the banks this weekend with my 800mm lens
