Default what would you pay?

1. the perfect drag free drift, no doubts, knocked on the head once and for all, total on water fly control.

2. something else of your choice, that thing you just cant do?

would you pay or would you prefer to learn by discovery?

More helpfully I wouldn't pay a penny.
Everything I know I've read, learnt myself or picked up from friends and they have picked up stuff from me. No money has changed hands (apart from buying books and you don't even need to do that now with forums).

Definitely number 3 and it would be to grow money on trees

Then I could buy the other ones

You don't need to buy books but is there anything (apart from the scent of a woman) that smells and feels quite like a new book?
And without books, no Waterstones with a Costa Coffee and an expresso and a pile of books to dawdle through on a snowy winter afternoon.

I would happily pay. But I would say that wouldn't I.
The many hours spent trying to correct things, when really, if you had paid you could have been fishing.

Most definitely learn, why pay when you can, in most circumstances teach yourself. There are certain things that shelling out will get you there quicker, but you miss out on the voyage of discovery.

So I haven't been fishing for the last 35 years
Don't get me wrong, I don't know it all or even half of it. But I do know enough to get by and (shock horror) I don't always feel the need to improve.

very similar answers to exactly the same thread on another forum, fly fishing for most, if not all, appears quite clearly to be one of a journey of discovery with little or no need for payed help of anything whatsover, i didnt expect such consistancy. many thanks for the straight forward answers.
