Angry Would you pay £15 to catch wild brownies (fishery)

That's the 3rd time in 3 weeks I've been to Glenfarg fishery and caught wild natural brownies and very little no Rainbows whatsoever (2 rainbows in 3 trips).

It's £15 for c&R with an honesty box, which I always put my money in before fishing; I'm now at the stage that next time, I'll think about fishing first, then put my money in the box; I'd really hate doing this but it seems the place has been emptied and not re-stocked!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going for the broonies with a dry, but not £15 enjoy!

You views on this if you please.

Gary

I think that's a very fair price, then again I live down south.

£15 is still cheap Gary for a day out, least you didn't blank. I seem to remember that you had a cracking day last month at Glenfarg.

I did indeed, 27 on the bank (released of course). Perhaps I was spoiled that day

You paid to fish, you caught fish, seems fair to me.

As Sandy says you pay to fish.
Nobody says you are entitled to a fish.
I paid £130.00 for a days fishing and caught nothing, loved every minute of it though.

I'm by no means Mr money-bags, but come on. To pay £15 for a day doing what you love isn't bad is it! That's about 4 pints of lager where i live.

It sometimes worries me when people complain about paying such small sums of money for fishing. The people who run these fisheries, which mostly barely make a profit, need to get some income somehow. And without them, we'd have far fewer places to go fishing.

Price is £15 to fish, not £15 to catch.

£15 is very reasonable for a days fishing.

If you object then go somewhere else. There is an honesty box in place, if you fish without paying first, you are poaching.

To fish first and then pay at the end if you think it was worth it is not on.

Point taken chaps, I just resent the fact you go to catch Rainbows, not Brownies; still a nice morning though
