Default surrey river or nearby fishing

Coming to weybridge next week and got a couple of free days. Anyone point me in the direction of some river fly brownie fishing that isn't going to cost me a bomb. Happy to travel up to say 11/2 hours. Test maybe??
Thanks

Frank,
Very little in Surrey that isn't part of a syndicate. The Test is an option or maybe the Kennet around Hungerford?

Thanks Chris. Meant to add Hampshire as a possibility. Are there any places on any chalkstream you could recommend?

Hi Frank,
The Kennet around Hungerford is pretty nice - drop Andy Wren (ACW) a message on here and he might be able to advise as he runs trips there for Grayling. They're out of season at the moment but he might know if it is worth fishing at this time of year

Chris

hello i dont think you would find any fishing on the test that does not require a trip to the bank manager before hand: if salibury is within distance have day tickets. you might find some on the lovely kennet, (private) or failing that a free stretch can be found in reading. happy fishing

It might sound a tad crazy, but have a look at Farnham AS, they have trout fishing on the upper Wey, and the cost of joining may well be less than a day on the Itchen or Test, and you get a season!!!!!!!!
The same might apply to Christchurch AC, plenty of trout water, salmon too, on the avon and side streams, reasnoble cost compared with the Test etc , They are all stockies regardless, but paying for a yearly ticket for the same as a day or maybe two on the OVERRATED TEST is a no brainer!!!!
