Wavehopper life jacket

Hi
I have a wavehopper sausage type life jacket.
Its the type that the compressor needs replaced if inflated.
Ive been advised to get it checked.
Can anyone advise what I need to do to check it.
Im assuming that the compressor is still okay but I obviously cant check this but its more than 6 years old.
