Default leader setup diagrams...

I'm a newbie to fly fishing and I was wondering if anyone knows any good sites that show how to do droppers and different ways to set up leaders for things like washing lines etc... Hope I make sense lol

cheers

John Sutton showed me a very simple quick secure method about 7 years ago, form a loop where you want your dropper and tie a three turn surgeon knot, ie loop it throgh three turns, wet the knot and slowly pull tight, cut off close to knot to form dropper.

That sounds simple enough. How long should the dropper be? I assume if its too long it may tangle in the cast?

Only fished lures to this point, but want to learn every aspect of the sport

If you google something like "trout leader setup" loads of stuff should show up

Me i don't bother with dropper knots but use tippet rings instead, dropper lengths tend to be around 6 inches
