Default Where to fish and camp in Devon

Is anyone able to recommend some Devon reservoir fishing that has campsites close by ?

I have fished at Colliford many times but would like to try somewhere new.

Regards,

Pop

Hello Poptosis.
I bank fish regularly at Kennick. 50 acres and stocked with good hard fighting fish. Rainbows are from 1 & 1/2 lb. There are always plenty of larger fish in there too! This year they also put in some blues which take off like bats out of hell! There are also brownies in the lake but these have to be treated with respect and then returned.
There are 5 boats and a wheelie boat on the lake
The lake is owned by South West Lakes Trust. The ranger in charge of Kennick is Chris Hall. Email...chall@swlakestrust.org.uk He may be able to help you as regards a camp site nearby.
Hope this helps.

Not sure about Campsites, but venford res. near ashburton is a beautiful place, free fishing for wild trout, also managed by the sw lakes trust. if you look at their website it will give you more information.

If you fancy a bit of a walk the avon dam resevoir also gives fishing for wild brownies in spectacular surroundings and its also free. hoping to get home at easter and give it another crack

If you look on the South West Lakes Trust website lakeside campsites in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset it tells you which reservoirs have a camping site. It also tells you about the fishing

I noticed on their website that you can camp at Hatch Lands. Near Totnes, though I've never been there myself.
