Default Cold Turkey...

How long is it after you pack up your rods before you get a real urge to go fishing again, and what is it that makes you yearn for the riverbank/lakeside...? when the weather's like this, i find it almost impossible not to skive work and go for a stalk... I haven't been for 2 weeks now and it's getting unbearable...

Because of the snow, Christmas commitments and work ties, I didn't fish between 27 November 2010 and 15 January 2011...in that last couple of weeks I was fit to be tied. I fish at least 3 times most months, more at prime times like Spring and Autumn. What I like is that there's good fishing available in all 4 UK seasons as long as there's no really extreme weather, and there's always something to look forward to.

Immediately I get in the car, I think, oh maybe another half hour. The only thing that keeps me from fishing is the wife She does deserve some attention

I cross several rivers and burns going to and from work, so i cannot avoid being faced with my affliction on a daily basis. Went past the Dighty burn while in Dundee today and i'm planning a wee trip after work this week.
