Default Worcestershire Intermediate fly line

Bought this line about a week ago - very reduced price at my local angling shop. Fished it for the first time yesterday, how do I stop it floating. Degreased it the day before with soapy water but it will not sink. What an I doing wrong?

Are you sure it's not a very slow sinking inter'?

That means it's a floater then. Was it a branded line (boxed) or just looped in a bag? If the latter, probably labelled wrongly. What colour is it?

You need to ''run in'' the shaky wooster inter.to get it to sink.Take a wee tub of washing up liquid and rub it down till it starts to sink.you'll not have any probs after that.

sounds like the perfect slow int! id just leave it, it will start to drop eventually, was it calm when you were fishing? sometimes a breeze can help sink the line.

I've got the same line and it is a slow sinker. On every outing it takes about 15 minutes of soaking before it sinks properly.

It also sinks unevenly the front end of the line being the last part to drop under the surface. If you don't use it for a while it takes even longer to settle in.

Hi, I used to have one of these in a chestnut colour. Just gave it loads of time to sink, or encouraged it a bit by sinking the rod tip and slowly draw the line.

Quite a good line, but that was ten years ago, I think?

Best Regards

Stuart
