Default Everything "did" come to he who waited!!!

fish pics at the bottom

2 years ago i started my search for a winston 7ft 9" 4wt lt5. the other day one came up on ebay but was taken off due to annoying people with silly requests put him off selling. any was long story short the chap was really nice and i met up with him today and bought one at last. it is just like it came from winston with not a mark on it, how ever this was just the beginning of a great day

the cork is perfect! and was supplied by sportfish when they used to stock them,as was the xp

he also happened to have a sage 905-4 xp in the same condition , i just had to have it

so i decided to test the rod out, just grabbed my waders and chest pack and headed down to the stream.

it was the best 3 hours fishing i have ever had. i kept saying to myself to stop now and don't ruin a perfect trip .. but it just got better. i landed my pb brownie at 14" on top of many others and a 13" grayling to top it off. all on 3lb line!!

the weather was perfect, sunny and warm, no wind, gin clear water...peace and quiet... just perfect

the rod is sublime, as a casting tool and a fishing tool and i will never sell it as it now holds a perfect memory,me with a smile on my face from ear to ear hoping it would never end

There ARE days when all the stars and planets align. You had one of those blessed (too) few.
