Default Get knotted!!!!

Do you have a favourite knot that you use all the time or do you use them when required for the purpose intended?

Uni knot - why would anyone want anything else? Use it for everything.

I just love the palomar knot. I do use a few others though.

Only use four regularly, as in all the time!
nail knot, or needle knot for backing to line.
if not using braided loops, use same to attach heavier nylon for start of leader, with three turn surgeons/water knot for loop. Either then loop to loop connection, or tucked blood knot for tippet.
Same tucked blood for attaching hooks ( fly, spinners, or bait hooks)
if forming droppers use four turn dropper knot, then blood knot to fly.
Sometimes if using braid, when spinning, or beach casting, will use rappalla knot for hook and swivel connections, but not often.
regards
bert

Uni/grinner knot for most things, occasionally water knot for droppers.

Nail knot for attaching backing to fly line. That's about it.
